Volunteers Needed

I'm looking for a few good beer distributors, timers, referees, course monitors, and camera operators. If you don't want to run but want to help, let me know by posting a comment to this message.

New Location, New Name, Same Out of Control Action

The 2008 edition of the Burke-Gilman Beer Mile is a special occasion. Not only is it the fifth anniversary of the event, but it is also the celebration of Dave's 30th birthday.

After four years of often-soggy antics on the streets of Laurelhurst, it is time to move this rite of spring to greener pastures. Literally. The Barnyard Beer Mile will take place on the Martin family property in Snohomish, Washington. The quarter-mile cross-country course will feature challenging terrain, great viewing for spectators, and more flexibility in outdoor drinking.

Location and Directions

The Barnyard Beer Mile will be held on the Martin Family Farm at 3:00pm on June 14th, 2008. Please note that you will not get cell phone reception at the farm. If you get lost or need help finding the place, please call the number below.

Remember to bring a six-pack of domestic, non-light beer, in regular 12oz cans. Good examples are Budweiser, MGD, Pabst Blue Ribbon, and Coors Original.
